VA Silent on Exec Bonuses for Manipulated Data | Military.com

More shenanigans at the Veterans Administration. Why does this not surprise me? A hand salute to Mr. Nicholas Tolentino for having the moral courage to speak out in order to get attention brought to ongoing mismanagement issues that continue at the VA. We need more people like him in the system! People who are not afraid to do the right thing, simply because it is the right thing to do . . .

I would just bet that the money spent on "Exec Bonuses" could have been better spent on - - - hiring more Mental Health professionals to cope with the increased caseload of younger veterans returning from OIF/OEF.

That, of course would make too much sense.

Why only OIF/OEF all veterans that have mental disorders caused by service related fatigue should be afforded the same treatment as those who were not in that arena.

I agree. A Veteran is a Veteran.

The primary point I was making was that I am happy to see someone who has had "working experience" with the Veterans Administration speaking out against their internal policies, in order to try to bring a serious management problem to the attention of the public.

The Veterans Administration should be hiring more professionals to assist with veterans mental health concerns, instead of management paying themselves bonuses for falsifying appointment statistics.

The fact that I selected the grouping of combat veterans who will cause the largest caseload increase in Mental Health cases in the history of the VA - - - is really a moot point in the context of this story.
